There is no EU country that grows as many potatoes as we do in Germany. And there’s a good reason for that. After all, they are simply wonderful: as crispy fried potatoes, velvety mash or a peeled and salted accompaniment to any number of favourite dishes.
We’ve sampled plenty of spuds and found the tastiest tubers in the north right on our doorstep – the Tobaben family have been cultivating the finest potatoes in the Altes Land region for generations. We promise you’ll love them.

It's no coincidence that the Hamburg Fish Market is famous far beyond the borders of our beautiful city. And lucky for us – it's just around the corner! So what could be more natural than heading there daily to pick up the best of what the fishers have brought into port? The only way to get it any fresher is to catch it yourself.

Our head chef prefers to get his ingredients from the market and is inspired by the fresh produce the regional farmers offer. Always carefully selected, ideally seasonal, preferably local – we make meals that remind you of the good old days and leave our guests with full bellies and warm hearts. Let’s drink to that!
