Why are we running a restaurant offering northern German cuisine? Because it tastes like home! Because grandpa knew best how to be full and happy and because that’s both changed and yet remained the same in the last 100 years.
What that means for your plate
Everyone knows there’s plenty of fish and other seafood on the coast. Hamburg isn’t quite at the water’s edge, but we do have a port where exotic herbs and spices have been arriving for generations. So we don’t just benefit from the varied range of fish from the Elbe and the North Sea but also from flavours from faraway lands. And for the meat lovers among us, we get fine organic Galloway beef from the luscious pastures around Hamburg.
